| Well, bout time for an update eh? I've sent my resume all of the country it feels like and I have only gotten one response so far. Patience is something that I am practicing a great deal lately. Anyway..I'll be talking with a camp in Montana this week, and hopefully I'll hear from the one in Colorado soon. If not, I'm apparently not qualified. Which would be okay too beause it is an outdoor job and I have pretty much been told that I shouldn't work outside because of my obnoxious allergic reaction to poison oak, which I am suffering from greatly at the moment. But also, I am allergic to cedar and highly allergic to poison ivy..so being outside is pretty much not a good idea for me when it comes to working and stuff. So! Ya'll can keep these things in your prayers if you would. I'd love to hear from you and be able to pray for you as well, so send me a line or drop a note in my email with prayer requests and updates! Thanks ya'll!! God Bless! ~Tams | | |
| Hello All!! I have a huge prayer request and this seems to be a quick way to get it out. Bryce and I are in the process of looking for jobs closer to Kansas. We've got a link to a camp in Colorado which would really be perfect for us (well I think so) and we could really use all the prayer support we can get concerning this deal! Thank you so much!! I'll keep you posted!! Much Love! ~Tams | | |
| There is a commercial about cell phones, and one guy calls the other guys cell phone Lame. Now if you remember the commercial, there is this distinct tone in which the guy with the cool cell phone says the word lame. Think of my use of the word lame, as in that distinct tone. I enjoy it, and it makes me feel better, plus...it is more fun. This week I have seen many things. Today alone, I saw many things, many of which I am confident that you don't want to even know because of the subject matter. I will say, however, we had a horse die at camp today, bummer! Good horse too. Part of my job requires trapping small rodents that live in the ground, who destroy my lawns. I have caught 5 this week on traps and killed several (I am confient) with posion bombs (smoke 'em out). Another part of my job requires lots of digging. When it is freezing, the ground becomes solid and digging solid frozen masses of dirt can be equated with Hebrew Slave Labor.... So I have declared. Since it was only me digging for 10 of the 15 hours of digging I did this week, I was wishing there we others that shared in my prison like bondage. I've sent out my resume several times now, looking for a job that is not manual (HEBREW SLAVE LABOR) labor, but I haven't gotten any good leads yet. I am starting to get discourage I guess you can say. And I haven't been the reciepient of any large cash donations that would enable us to move yet...so Bryce and I are still stuck here. Of course we are still saving, but I am not sure how much longer I can tolerate the complacenty, the lack of integrity, and the poor leadership among the staff here. I thought our leaders were suppose to stand for the truth, and display it as everyone should, but does not. THIS IS LAME!! All I can write for now! Tam | | |
| Well, I am not sure that I really have any form of exciting news, or even anything really worth writing, but I do feel as though I need to write something because it is nearing a week since my last post, which wasn't really me writing, but me trying to be poetic. Probably failed. Anyway, I was a first class shovel operator today for about 5 hours...I am dead tired, and am waiting for the clock to roll over to 7 p.m. so that I can go to bed with out really feeling too bad for going to bed early. Probably won't even have dinner either...just that tired. Still saving for a kansas move. If anyone knows a rich aunts, grandma's uncle, whose dog's favorite friends was your cousins father, who owned half of the state of North Dakota in 1913, whose brother discovered oil by shooting in the ground, that guys sister, who wants to donate a few big bills to Bryce and I to help sponsor us in moving to the mid-west then PLEASE...email me for my current mailing address. Anyway, then end of dreams and what not...hope all is well in your land. ~Tam | | |
| You capture me daily Before my eyes open To the dawn each new day You sustain me always As my labor grows And my toils become long You lead me higher Guiding my steps Giving rest and stability You comfort me greatly Easing the pains of living In this lost and dying world You are there, You endure You outlast all that I am And all that I try to hold back Thank you
